Pense, Saskatchewan is a quiet town with a population of just over 600 that celebrated its 100th year as a Village in 2004. Centrally located in the Regina-Moose Jaw Corridor, it is an ideal location for new business and commuters as it provides a secure, lower cost alternative to the nearby cities.

Services include a volunteer fire department and an emergency response team. Water in Pense comes from the City of Regina's main line and a new 100,000 gallon reservoir was built in 2006. The streets are well maintained throughout the seasons with grading, graveling, snow plowing and removal. Other amenities include a full service Post Office, the Town Hall, which can be rented for social functions, the Memorial Rink, the Lions Splash Park and recreation area and ball diamond.

The Pense School provides high quality education to children in kindergarten to Grade 8 with a low child to teacher ratio. The school encourages students to participate in sports programs such as gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, basketball, and intramurals. It is the only school in Canada to have earned the recognition of being both an Earth School by completing 1000 environmental projects and an Olympic School by completing 10 projects that represent the seven Olympic Values. The Play School prepares children for kindergarten by providing an introduction to school structure and social interaction in a fun environment.

There are many businesses operating in Pense. Pense Food Store and Gas Bar, in addition to having basic food staples and gasoline,  and a coffee shop where locals gather. Knight Archer insurance provides general insurance and financial planning services. The Meat Up Pub is a favorite gathering spot to watch the Riders and enjoy a few with your friends and neighbours.   Westside Refrigeration Heating & Air Conditioning is a  locally owned and operated commercial service provider.  In addition, there are many home-based businesses.

The community of Pense defies the common misconception that there is nothing to do in a small town. The Recreation Board concerns itself with the physical fitness and wellness of the community. It offers various courses and programs throughout the year as well as lending financial support to many recreational organizations in Pense.  The Pense Community Fitness Club has a gym with lots of modern equipment to help residents stay In Motion year round.  In the winter, the Pense Memorial Rink is always busy with hockey, curling and figure skating.

Always quick to welcome newcomers, the residents of Pense are an eclectic mix of farm families descending from the original settlers, senior citizens, young families and people who work in the cities or at the Mosaic Potash plants. They are hard working and fun-loving people who readily extend a helping hand to neighbors and strangers alike.
